EZ Myco 12×24″ Laminar flow hood for sale is a complete flow hood ready for mycology lab use. The blower has been carefully matched up with the filter to achieve Laminar flow. Osborne Reynolds studied fluid mechanics. He was able to determine what makes flow laminar (constant streams not turbulent) . Reynolds is famous for coming up with Reynolds number (Re). It has been determined that airflow should be between 80-100 fpm to achieve laminar flow. The mycology  industry generally encourages readings slightly over 100.  If the flow is too fast, it can become turbulent and particles begin to scatter and can lead to contaminated work. Our Laminar flow hood is designed to move air through our H14 HEPA filter and deliver a uniform stream of air. This filtered and uniform stream of air protects your lab by taking and cleaning the air and moving unwanted particles you may introduce directly downstream.
